A little about me:
Hey there! I’ve been swimming since I was a little 3-year-old, and I’ve continued to swim throughout my life because I find it so fun. My personality is a mix of outgoing vibes and a chill attitude. I think creating a lively but relaxed atmosphere makes learning swim both enjoyable and safe. Teaching swimming is something I’m passionate about because I believe everyone should have the skill, plus it’s awesome to see people surprise themselves with what they can learn. When I teach, I like to start with what a student already knows and then guide them step by step to improve. And trust me, learning can be a blast – I’m all about keeping things fun and exciting in each session! I even bring in cool toys and tools to help keep it engaging.
Teaching beginners is probably my favorite part of being an instructor. It’s amazing to be part of someone’s aquatic journey right from the start! I teach survival strokes first because staying safe in the water is super important. Plus, nailing those strokes gives beginners the confidence to handle different water situations. Keeping the excitement alive is crucial for progress, so I tailor lessons to each student. Games and toys are my secret weapons to make sure we have a blast even when we’re learning the basics. By the way, I’ve got experience teaching kids with special needs, especially those on the autism spectrum. As for parents’ goals, I clearly communicate to figure out what they’re aiming for, and we work together to make it happen.
As for my certifications, I’m certified as a Water Safety Instructor, and I’ve got CPR and First Aid certifications as well. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching at a camp, coaching students of all ages and levels. I can’t wait to dive in and meet you all in the pool! Let’s make some waves and have a fantastic time learning to swim together.
