A little about me:
Hello everyone! My name is Tanvi and I began working as a swim instructor and lifeguard in 2019. While I trained with a competitive swim team in high school, my true passion lies in teaching. I started swimming when I was 12, but I was actually really afraid of the water at first. With the caring guidance of a mentor, my fear was soon transformed into confidence, inspiring me to do the same for my students. My experience allows me to really empathize with beginners who may find the water a bit intimidating. I know firsthand that anyone can develop confidence in the water and a love for swimming just as I did. So, I create personalized lesson plans tailored to my students’ specific needs and goals to help them achieve that!
Prior to mastering formal strokes, I am a firm believer in solidifying survival skills. In addition to serving as vital lifesaving tools in dangerous situations, water safety skills also build a foundation for learning the strokes. As an instructor, my priority is clear communication so that I can create a positive and trusting environment. I engage by welcoming questions, demonstrating techniques, and motivating with plenty of encouragement! I also believe that learning should be fun and exciting, so I like to incorporate skill-building games and activities, especially for children. I enjoy working with both children and adults, including those with special needs. No matter where anyone is in their journey to learning swimming, I am here to support my students. I want to make sure my students are comfortable in the water and work with them to achieve their goals, while ensuring they develop the skills they need to stay safe and succeed!
I am currently Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and AED certified. I can’t wait to swim with you!

*Tuition fees are based on one private half hour lesson per week until the end of a specific session. Pricing may vary depending on your enrollment date and type of class.
