A little about me:
I am currently attending Stockton University for the degree in Marine Biology. I have loved the water since I can remember. As a child I was on several swim teams and learned at a young age many of the skills that I teach to my students today. As a young teenager, I babysat and taught toddlers how to swim and enjoy the water. As a teenager, I got my first job as a lifeguard. I love having a pool in my back yard. I am easy going and love to share my love of water and water sports with people especially children. I am patient and easy going. I know swimming can be intimidating and want to make sure all my students are comfortable and happy. In my spare time, I enjoy reading current events and Manga. I have a large family of which I am the oldest of seven in my house. I have two wonderful fun dogs named Dakota and Duke. I also have a lion head bunny and a bearded dragon. I love meeting new people and really enjoy teaching and encouraging my students to love the water just like me.

Because I want my students to feel comfortable and eventually love water and water sports, I want them to feel secure and learn the basic survival skills first. It all starts with not being afraid. I want my students to have a natural respect for the water but also learn that it can be a fun, healthy activity. I encourage all my students and their parents to ask lots of questions before and after class. I will always want to know any special needs my students may have. I hope that my love and enthusiasm for the water and swimming comes through in my interaction with my students. I sincerely hope that I can instill this enthusiasm to all my students.

I have my open water scuba diving certification and have had the pleasure of diving in the Florida keys and Fiji. I am working toward my PADI advanced open water certification. I am Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED trained.
