A little about me:
Hi everyone! My name is Azael, and my love for swimming started when I was 8 years old in my aunt’s pool. I am a calm, patient, and positive person, and showcase those qualities into my lessons. I enjoy teaching swim so much because I find the water so enjoyable! I find it rewarding to help foster that love of swimming and finding joy in the water while I am instructing. I always try and help my students to see that the water can be both safe and fun to enjoy.

I love to help beginners because as an instructor, it is our job to ensure the student feels safe in the water. Teaching survival skills is crucial, as it will help the student to trust themselves when they are in and around water. I bring fun into my lessons, showing my students how fun it is to splash, to back float and relax, or work on proper technique and speed so that my students can impress not only themselves, but their friends too. I am comfortable teaching anyone how to swim, and I believe that everyone should have that opportunity! I always work with my younger student’s parents and let them know of progress made and what else we will work on and update them as we move forward with the lessons.

Currently, I hold a lifeguard certification as well as my certification in CPR. I have gone through technique training and can’t wait to share my knowledge with my swimmers!
