A little about me:
Hello my name is Miss Brie! Growing up I was on a swim team my whole childhood. I swam for about 8 years along with teaching lessons as I became more advanced. I think I have a very fun personality but also like to make sure we’re serious during the lessons too.
With beginner swimmers (which everyone once was!) I think it’s important to get them comfortable with the water and then move right into survival skills. This way we can get rid of the fear and start to have fun. Survival skills are important to be taught for times when you are not with a teacher and learn how to keep safe in and around water. I motivate kids by keeping them excited with everything they’re accomplishing. I can teach special needs. In the beginning of sessions I make sure to find out what it is that a parent/ swimmer would like to get out of swim lessons and reach their goals to the best of my ability!
