A little about me:
Swimming and other water-based activities have been part of my life ever since I can remember. I learned to swim at a local YMCA and joined my first competitive swim team there. I then continued to swim competitively through middle school, high school, and at the University of Delaware (NCAA Division I). After my final season at UD, I have focused the majority of my efforts on improving my swimming instruction and scuba diving skills.

My life guarding and swimming instruction career spans 18 years, over ten of which have been working full time for Making Waves.  I have been WSI certified since the year 2000 and am proud to say I recently became a Lifeguard Instructor Trainer through the American Red Cross.  Also, I am an Open Water Scuba Instructor through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). Teaching water safety and water sports has always been extremely enjoyable for me and I am always willing to jump at the chance to help people of all ages learn to have a safe and enjoyable time in water. Therefore, I plan to continue my own education so that I might diversify my skills and pass on my knowledge to others. I am very excited to be teaching for Making Waves Swim School and having the chance to work with students on a one-on-one basis.
