Male
I have been swimming for as long as I can remember, but only recreationally. My prior swim experience is in lessons. I assisted instructors teaching swim at a kids camp for 4 years. My personality is outgoing and fun. I teach swimming as a secondary job, I like helping people and I enjoy teaching children new things.
My teaching style is a lot like my personality, but I also push my kids to go outside their comfort zone. Beginner students are great because they haven’t developed bad habits, also the smallest improvements are the biggest successes. Survival strokes are imperative to learning before starting actual swimming strokes. It helps teach confidence and if the student is in an unsafe situation they have the skills to be able to help themselves. I motive students by encouragement and giving them the confidence to do things for themselves. I have taught special needs students. I meet parents goals by working the steps laid out by “Making Waves” and pushing the student and building confidence in he process.

I hold a certificate in CPR and Lifeguarding.
