A little about me:
Hey everyone! My name’s John, and I have been swimming all of my life. I was not always a competitive swimmer, but I fell in love with teaching swimming and am excited to bring my knowledge and skills to the pool. I believe that everyone is capable of learning how to swim, and I would love to be a part of your swim journey! I’ve always loved sports (football was my first love) and I love to meet new people, so I would say I’m outgoing! I think of myself as both laid back and positive during all my lessons, and I will always be encouraging and honest about your progress in the water.

I always welcome beginner swimmers with open arms into my lessons. Everyone must start somewhere when it comes to being comfortable and proficient in the water! I teach all six strokes, but survival skills (floating, rolling onto your back, doggy paddle, treading water, etc.) are the most important – so expect to learn those first! As far as children go, I will always be positive (sometimes silliness is welcome too!) and let them know they can do anything they put their mind to. I always communicate with my swimmer’s parents about skills we are working on so that they can ask questions if they have any about their children’s lessons.

I currently have both my Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor Certifications. Let’s get swimming!
