A little about me:
Hi! My name is Keriann, and I have been swimming for as long as I can remember! I started taking lessons myself when I was about 5 years old, and haven’t left the water since! I got my lifeguard certification and started teaching lessons as soon as I could once I was 15 years old. I am bubbly and love to incorporate lots of games as well as valuable life saving lessons into my courses. I believe everyone should know how to swim because swimming is an essential skill in everyone’s life!
I believe that everyone must start somewhere, so beginners of all ages are always welcome. Whether a swimmer is 5 or 55, swimming is an important skill that I believe everyone should have! That being said, life saving techniques such as swimming for the wall nearest to the swimmer and floating to preserve energy are always super important! Sometimes students may not be too motivated to participate in class, but that’s okay! – a strong personality and fun games are a sure fire way to start class and get things moving. Special needs children require a special teacher to help guide them, and with my years of experience and 1:1, as well as group training experience with special needs children, I’m excited to meet and teach everyone!
Currently, I hold my CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, as well as Lifeguarding. I have lifeguarded for lessons, swim team practices, and pool parties, as well as having taught lessons for swimmers aged 6 months to 85 years old! There’s a perfect lesson for everyone and I would love to teach you yours! Can’t wait to meet you in the pool!I hope to see you at lessons!
