A little about me:
Hello! I have been swimming my whole life! I have family living on the jersey shore where I spent my summers constantly swimming in the waves all day with my cousins. I then began swimming at a local country club near by leading me to join a swim team for 2 years. I swam competitively and enjoyed it a ton!
I am very caring, gentle, outgoing and friendly. I never judge anyone and am willing to help anyone out. I teach swimming because I like to help show people what they are capable of achieving. Making people happy is a great feeling!
My teaching style is straight to the point. I will keep going over something until it is perfect. I want to make sure who I’m teaching is actually learning and processing what I am demonstrating. My feeling on beginners is an exciting experience for me because I get to see them grow and improve as time goes on. Teaching survival strokes first is crucial. Moving on with the lessons before being taught survival skills can lead to panic, I want each swimmer to know how to save themselves without the assistance of a teacher.
I motivate the children by demonstrating the stroke, constant reassurance of safety, and reminding them of how great their doing! I try to have fun while still learning. I try to give useful information and tips to the children to meet the parents goals of what they are trying to help their child achieve to insure they are performing to their best ability. I am Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certified and have gone through numerous trainings with Making Waves to shape my skills and knowledge of strokes to the best they can be! I look forward to meeting you!
