A little about me:
I have been swimming since a young age. I was given lessons while in preschool at my local YMCA. I remember spending countless hours swimming during the summer as a child. I started competition swimming my junior year of high school and I loved it!
I am a bubbly and friendly person and I teach swimming because I believe everyone should know how to swim, it is a fun and enjoyable activity. My teaching style is fun and allows the student to achieve their goals. I am a strong believer in having an open mind, and a positive attitude. By allowing oneself to start new things this way, it allows you to achieve your goals faster.
Teaching the survival strokes first helps the students know that they can resort to them if they are ever in a situation and need to rest. I motivate children with a can do attitude, by motivating children this way their mentality changes to them wanting and be willing to improve themselves and achieve what has been asked. If parents want a certain goal to be reached by their child, I will do my best for that goal to be met.
I currently hold a Lifeguard, First Aid, AED and CPR certification and have maintained them for about 4 years. This coupled with months of training provided by Making Waves Swim School will help me to help you or your children overcome any obstacles!
