A little about me:
Hello everyone! My name is Rylee! I began swimming in 2016 for my high school swim team, where I swam at varsity level for four years. I began teaching lessons at the start of 2019 and it has helped me grow a love for working with children. It is so rewarding to watch young swimmers grow confident in their swim abilities and develop water skills. I love to encourage my students and offer gentle guidance – providing a fun, safe, and productive lesson.
I have worked with a wide range of students, from beginner through stroke development classes. My experience also includes lessons for students with special needs! Beginner classes specifically are important for little ones who may not have knowledge of pool safety. Safety is always a number one priority as we want to make sure we are teaching life saving skills. Patience is a must and I always take time to learn about students so I can best monitor their safety and progress. Students need a lot of positive reinforcement to learn, and I am happy to provide a comfortable environment to learn and grow. As parents, I believe it is important to reinforce the skills learned outside of the class and be informed on the best safety skills.
Outside of the pool I love making art, being in nature, and caring for my crested gecko, Alphie! I am also a full-time student and a part-time staff member at my church. I currently hold a Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification and I am working on receiving a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification. Let’s get swimming!
