A little about me:
My name is Sevalee and I have been swimming since 2007 . I started on my summer league swim team at 5 years old, and when I was 10 and went on to do competition swimming. I am a very outgoing person, and I am friendly, kind, happy, and funny. I wanted to teach swim lessons because I think it is fun and it is great exercise. My style of teaching is to incorporate the importance of safe and useful swimming while also having fun.
I think they beginners are nervous because being in the water can be challenging at times, and it is different from other sports on land. It is important to know how to save yourself in any situation. For my students, I want them to be comfortable with me because I want them to know swimming is fun as well as important, and I want to build a relationship with my students. I have some experience teaching students with autism.
I like to ask parents at the beginning of the session what goals they want for their kids and I try to communicate with how I can have their child focus in on the lesson while making it fun for them. I am currently CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certified.
