A little about me:

Hi! My name is Carrie and I’m excited to work with you at Making Waves! I’ve been immersed in the water—quite literally—since before I was born since my mother was a swim instructor. The water is my happy place and with over 15 years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard, I’ve had the privilege of working with swimmers of all ages and abilities, from newborns taking their first splashes to adults refining their strokes.

My passion for teaching comes from a lifelong connection to the water and a deep commitment to helping others feel confident and safe in aquatic environments.
After taking a break to pursue another career path, I’m thrilled to return to the pool and share my love for teaching swimming. I especially enjoy working with younger students who are afraid of the water or have special needs requiring accommodations. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping them overcome their fears, embrace the water, and experience the joy of swimming freely. Whether I’m introducing infants to the water or fine-tuning an adult’s technique, I strive to bring patience, expertise, and enthusiasm to every lesson. My goal is to foster trust, build technique, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for swimming in everyone I teach.

Every lesson is an opportunity to share my love for the water and help my students unlock their potential. I can’t wait to continue inspiring confidence, fostering growth, and creating lifelong swimmers!
