A little about me:
I started swimming at the age of 5, and immediately fell in love with the water. In the beginning of my competitive swimming career, I swam for Rutgers Scarlet Aquatics. At the age of 12, I was part of a USA Swimming team that represented NJ, and I continued to swim both competitively and at the club level through high school. Since I no longer swim competitively, I still swim in my free time at the local community pool to stay in shape and get that cardio in! When I am not in the pool, I remain active by going to the gym and by coaching competitive swimming.
I am very patient with my swimmers and understand that not everyone masters skills right away! Being persistent and energetic are just two characteristics of mine that will help my swimmers feel safe and enjoy their time in the pool. I teach swimming because this is a skill that the student will have throughout life. It is a very important skill to have especially in an emergency involving the water. I love the enjoyment of swimmers being able to swim on their own and having a sense of independence and being safe and comfortable in the water.
I find it fulfilling to teach beginners! I find enjoyment in seeing the progress of my swimmers and how confident they become in the water. My students will always be immersed in a positive and fun atmosphere with me! I motivate my younger swimmers with toys and being silly in the water with them. Staying in communication with my swimmer and/or their parents is also crucial. I will always do my best to communicate progress and give thoughts on how to continually practice and improve!
I currently have certification in CPR and in AED and lifeguarding. I also have my USA Swimming coaching card. I am very excited and can’t wait to meet and teach you all in the pool!

*Tuition fees are based on one private half hour lesson per week until the end of a specific session. Pricing may vary depending on your enrollment date and type of class.
