A little about me:
I have been swimming all my life! Growing up, I spent my summers in Upstate New York and Pennsylvania by the lake and my school years in Florida, so swimming was a must in my family! But it wasn’t until I was older that I became interested in learning proper technique and swimming mechanics. I took lessons and my passion for swimming was ignited and my desire to start teaching began.

After receiving my Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications, I underwent months of rigorous training through Making Waves Swim School, so my teaching style closely resembles the framework of swim – float –swim as a survival skill. Once survival swimming is mastered, we then progress onto backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly in that order.

My most important goal for each class is for the swimmer to feel comfortable and confident not only in their swimming, but also in their learning. I try to not only focus on the physical aspect of swimming, but the mental aspects as well to help each swimmer overcome the hurdles holding them back from their goals.
