A little about me:
Hey there, I’m Patrick! I have been in and around pools recreationally since I was two years old. Growing up, my summers were spent throwing rings into the deep end of the pool and retrieving them for hours on end. I loved being in the pool so much it was hard to get me out! My love for swim instruction started in 2012 where I worked at a summer camp for five years as both a lifeguard and swim instructor. I have also worked at a swim club for several years teaching group lessons and continued my journey into private swim instruction.
Teaching beginner swimmers is my specialty as I believe there is no better time to get your toes wet than the present! I am passionate about teaching beginners and helping them overcome their fears, so they can enjoy the many benefits of swimming and being comfortable in the water. To achieve this, I like to be a fun and encouraging swim instructor who creates a positive learning environment for my students. While I strive to create a fun and enjoyable environment, safety is always my top priority. With my background in lifeguarding, I believe teaching survival skills in and around the water is important before learning more technical swim strokes. Over the years I have learned teaching swim lessons is not a one size fits all as every student will be different. I like to engage with both parents and students in order to tailor my lessons to your specific goals, this also helps me understand what difficulties or fears the student might have as we build a better relationship with the water.
Currently, I hold my Lifeguarding certification, as well as First Aid and CPR. I look forward to swimming with you!

*Tuition fees are based on one private half hour lesson per week until the end of a specific session. Pricing may vary depending on your enrollment date and type of class.
