A little about me:

My passion for water and swimming began just when I was a toddler, and for as long as I can remember I’ve loved to be in the water and to swim. My passion turned into a profession back in 2018 when I started my first lifeguarding job. From there, I began to instruct swimming lessons at my local YMCA ranging in swimmers from 6 months to 60 years of age. My love for teaching skyrocketed after my first lesson and I continued to both lifeguard and instruct in different environments.

My priority has always been making new swimmers feel comfortable and safe in the water, around it, and with me! I’ve seen that comfort is most important with my special needs swimmers and that getting to know me made them feel safer. Safety is key and I’m very passionate about that. My passion reflects in my teaching style – I’m very fun, sometimes even silly with my swimmers, and I care! The goals of the swimmers and parents are my expectation, and I strive to meet them all while ensuring that they are advancing at the right pace. My teaching style and format of lessons will keep my swimmers with smiles on their faces and excited for every lesson. I like to test my students before advancing to the next skill to ensure their safety most importantly but to also build their confidence in the water and allow them to recognize their improvement and their hard work.

I currently hold my lifeguarding, CPR and AED, and First Aid certifications. I’m very excited to meet you and swim! Let’s make waves!
